Assistant Camp Cook

The Assistant Camp Cook will be responsible for assisting the Camp Cook in meeting all of the dietary needs of the campers and staff at Harbour Ridge Camp during the weeks of camp.  This will include:

• Meal and snack preparation and serving

• Maintaining health and cleanliness standards of kitchen and dining hall

The Assistant Camp Cook will be expected to work a unique schedule as follows:

Week 1: July 7 – July 8 9:00am – 5:00pm

Week 2: July 11 – July 15 7:00am – 7:00pm*

Week 3: July 18 – July 22 - OFF

Week 4: July 25 – July 29 7:00am – 7:00pm*

Week 5: August 1 – August 5 – OFF

Week 6: August 8 – August 12 – 7:00am – 7:00pm*

Week 7: August 15 – August 19 – 9:00am – 5:00pm

Week 8: August 22 – August 29 – OFF

*Exact time may vary but a 12 hour shift will be the expectation.

$15.00/hour + accommodation & meals (if required, during camp weeks)

The Assistant Camp Cook will report to the Camp Cook.

Cabin Leader

Reports to: Program Director

Start Date: July 4, 2022

End Date: August 22, 2022

Cabin Leaders will be hired to work directly on the front lines with children and youth. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing and leading activities, games, as well as leading cabin groups to and from activities, and caring for campers well being. During overnight camps, Cabin Leaders will oversee their cabin groups during the day, evening, and overnight. A natural ability to love and work with children is essential! This team member will need to demonstrate flexibility, patience, endurance and have a strong desire to share Christ.  Cabin leaders will also assist with Wesley Acres programming during non-camp weeks.

Cabin leaders must be at least 16 years old. ($300.00/week + accommodations & meals)

Chaplain

The Chaplain will be required to provide biblical teaching as a part of the overall Harbour Ridge Camp program, to prepare evening devotions for the campers, and to be available throughout the camp for spiritual counsel and support.  The Chaplain is also encouraged to engage and immerse themselves in the camp program.

$500/week + accommodation & meals (if required)

The Chaplain will report to the Program Director.

Lifeguard

The lifeguard will be working on the waterfront to ensure the safety of all campers and staff who are in and around the waterfront area. The lifeguard must be present and attentive during all waterfront activities including swimming, canoeing, tubing, and water sports. During camps, the lifeguard may be required to help in other areas as needed. This team member will demonstrate flexibility, patience, and endurance. The lifeguard will be under the direct supervision of the Camp Director.

The lifeguard must be certified in First Aid and CPR (Level C) and have a current National Lifeguard Society Certification before July 11, 2022 .  All certifications must not expire prior to August 19, 2022.

Nurse

The Camp Nurse will be hired to oversee the care of ill or injured campers and staff and will be responsible for related administrative duties. Some of these duties include the administration of all medications and maintaining up to date MARS records.

The Camp Nurse must be currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario or be studying nursing at a post-secondary institution. All applicants must have current First Aid and CPR Level C certification. Those who are registered nurses will be asked to provide their CNO Registration Number.
